I see my digital sign but it’s not rotating through my content, what do I do?

There are two possible solutions based on specific issues seen.

It could be that the media player is offline.

  • If this is the case, the first step would be to hold down the power button on the media player until the screen goes black.
  • After waiting a few seconds, press the power button again to power it back up. The Media player should automatically reconnect to the Wi-Fi during the boot-up process.
  • If the Wi-Fi is still not connected to the media player after this, then a mouse and keyboard need to be plugged into the player.
  • First, the sign needs to be closed by pressing “C” on the keyboard to bring up the content player configuration window.
  • On the bottom left of that window, click on the button that says, “Exit Player”. This closes the configuration window as well as the sign, leaving you looking at a desktop screen.
  • On the taskbar, near the date and time on the bottom of the screen, there should be an icon indicating the Wi-Fi status. Click on this to display the list of available networks you can connect to.

  • Select the desired network and enter the password. This reconnects the media player to the internet.
  • Then double click on the app icon that says, “Content Player”. This should be located on the left side of the screen. This reopens the sign and it should be rotating normally now.

It could be that the Content Player application needs to be “started”.

  • To start the content player, first you must plug in a mouse and keyboard into the media player.
  • While the digital sign is displaying press the “C” key on the keyboard, this opens the content player configuration window.
  • If the content player has not been started, then above the bottom left button in the configuration window stating, “Exit Player”, there should be an additional button saying, “Start Service” with bolded text next to it stating “Content Player Service is stopped”. Click the Start Service Button.
